The Theme Pavilion of Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea will be the country’s first aquatic ocean structure and will stand two stories high off the Expo site. The curves along the coastline of the Theme Pavilion will express the beauty and harmony of the South Sea. The Big-O is the signature space of Yeosu Expo, utilizing the  massive oceanarea off the coast of Yeosu's New Port. A delightful variety of cultural programs will be offered at this venue. •Area: 105,584 m2 (4.5-9 m of water depth) •Facilities: Floating Stage, Waterfront Deck, Ocean Promenade leading to the Theme Pavilion With the sea as the stage, the Big-O will provide a futuristic venue for visitors to experience the theme of the Expo. As the centerpiece of the Expo, the Big-O will be a breakaway from previousin-door exhibitions made up of the three areas: Eco Zone, Culture Zone, and Water Zone. The Big-O will provide an on-thesea platform for a broad range of exciting programs, covering marineperformances, cultural events, and Night Multi-media Show. | Expo Digital Gallery (EDG) is a pedestrian mall of ubiquitous  electronic artincorporating advanced information and lighting technologies which runs along the main avenue of the Expo site. The galler is connected with Yeosu Station. •Area: 415 m in length and 30 m in width•Facilities: Large LED screens installed on the ceiling that connects the either side of theInternational Pavilion. It makes up a thematic space of Expo 2012 along with the Big-O.Expo Digital Gallery is a digital space that enables visitors to enjoy twoway communication with thediverse marine life of the deep sea and coasts, and interact with the screen by sending images and messages using the Internet and smartphones. The Ubiquitous Expo will be realized through the Expo Digital Gallery. Instead of viewing exhibitions as passive onlookers, visitors can take part in the creation of the programs through interactive communications using the ubiquitous technology. Besides, various useful services will be offered for smartphone users such as smart map, smart reservation, and smart broadcasting service. . | As a giant pipe organ, the Sky Tower rebuilds a twin pair of  abandoned cementstorage silos into an artistic landmark embodying both esthetics and functionality. An observation deck on the rooftop offers a view over the entire Expo site. •Floor area: 1,359 m2 (67.5 m in height) •Facilities: Digital information display (DID) monitor projecting prehistoric petroglyphs, observation deck, seawater desalination facility Sky Tower Made of a pair of abandoned cement silos in the port of Yeosu, the Sky Towerwas reconstructed for the Expo in homage to the ecological spirit of the Expo. A creative work of art, the Sky Tower is shaped into a giant wave of the coastalwaters of Yeosu. Moreover, as a fully-functioning pipe organ, the Sky Towertugs at the listeners’ heartstrings with its marvelous music of the ocean.Inside the Sky Tower, 10-meter engraved rock made during the Stone Age willbe installed where lives of the prehistoric Korean will be screened. Freshwater will be offered to visitors after seeing the demonstration of thedesalination process of seawater.
